Coconut Oil Tooth Cleaner

I picked up these sweet little hand-sized jars from Hobby Lobby and I whipped up some delicious tooth cleaner with coconut oil!
Coconut Oil "Toothpaste"
For many months, we tested out all kinds of non-fluoride tooth cleaning products.  Our favorite was some pricey neem bark and licorice root toothpaste.

But then I came across a recipe on Facebook and posted it.  A friend commented with her experiences.  She encouraged me to forget the glycerin, which leaves a coating on the teeth that prevents saliva from doing its job to repair teeth.  Her cavities healed themselves this way!  No fillings!

So I was excited to try the recipe.
Here is an estimate of my "recipe," which I never measure.
Coconut Oil Tooth Cleaner
Ingredients
1/4 c. Coconut oil
1 heaping tsp. Baking Soda
1/2-1 tsp. unrefined Celtic Sea Salt (optional)
1 full dropper of liquid Stevia (optional) 6 drops essential oil (food grade) or peppermint extract

Directions: add ingredients to your container and blend well.
Dip your toothbrush into the mixture and brush!
For flavors, try orange, peppermint, or clove essential oils (which can help ailing teeth), or try using flavored Stevia, like chocolate or fruit punch.
