Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 2 Tablespoons white beeswax (Yellow stains light-colored shirts)
- 2 Tablespoons baking soda (Arm & Hammer is too harsh for some skin)
- 1/3 cup arrow root powder
- 10 – 15 drops essential oils (optional)
Supplies:
- Metal bowl
- Fork for blending
- Spoon or Rubber Spatula
- Container(s) for holding deoderant: Glass jars, Empty deoderant sticks (Previously used sticks will work fine, just be sure to clean them thoroughly with hot water), or Screw-top Tins
Instructions:
- Create a double boiler by placing a small metal or glass bowl over a saucepan of water.
- Blend coconut oil, arrowroot powder, and baking soda in a dish. Set aside.
- Over the double boiler, melt the beeswax over medium-low heat, stirring constantly.
- Add the coconut oil mixture to the melted beeswax and blend well.
- Remove the bowl from the saucepan and add essential oils, blending thoroughly.
- Pour into desired container and place in refrigerator or freezer to set, if desired.
